Free Web-based email that you access with a web browser and without
a traditional "email account". SearchBC.Com FreeMail is only available
only to British Columbia residents. SearchBC.Com is similar to "Hotmail"
but different because you get to choose an email address ending
in @searchbc.com! SearchBC.Com FreeMail lets you manage your email
online and enables you to send attachments, organize your email
into folders and use your own email address lists, so you never
have to be without the ability to get or send email when you're

main differences between Web-based email and regular email?
A Web-based email account lets you access your mail from
any computer connected to the Web without the worries of using a
special email application. With web based email you can access your
email when at school, the library, a cafe, a hotel, the shopping
mall, the airport or wherever a web connected computer is. In addition
you don't have to worry about leaving your email behind. Web based
email does not download to a local computer like most email applications.

For starters, a web-based email account. During the registration
process you'll get to choose your own email address (ie. bighair@searchbc.com)
and a password and login. Once your account is setup you can store
up to 1.5Mb of email and attachments and send attachments up to

Is
SearchBC.Com FreeMail an Anonymous Email Service?
No. The registered first name and last name are sent with each e-mail
message, no "handles" or nicknames are substituted. Furthermore,
each e-mail message sent from a SearchBC.Com FreeMail account includes
the Internet Protocol (IP) address from which the sign in session
originated. With this additional header information, the source
of a message can be narrowed dramatically. SearchBC.Com records
and stores all sign ins, including IP addresses, dates, and times.

Do
I need a special browser to view SearchBC.Com Freemail?
No. But you will need a browser that adequately supports javascript.
